Who invented ice?

Dry ice was not an invention but a discovery and was sold under the name for it by the company which sold it first. Ice, before the refrigeration started, was brought from hills and mountains to store food and to make desserts. This was stored in pits made in the grounds that were surfaced with bamboos and straws. Dry ice is nothing else but carbon dioxide in solid form which does not melts but sublimates. The gas is compressed till it turns liquid at the same time the extra heat is removed. This liquefied gas is then passed into an empty chamber through expansion valve to turn into dry ice. It was in 1925 that The Dry Ice Corporation of America got the first trademark for the dry ice.
